Perforated Metal Projects 2025: Solving Challenges
Every project has its own challenge. It might be aesthetics. It might be ventilation. It might be colour. Or it might be about making the biggest impact on the smallest budget. Our perforated metal projects 2025 have solved a wide range of real-world needs.
Here’s a snapshot of how our panels made a difference across NSW community, education, retail and transport builds this year – and what’s ahead for 2026:
Stockland Gables:
Sharp Retail Exterior

When a shopping centre is long-awaited, first impressions matter – and at Stockland Gables, our panels are on point. We supplied custom 3mm aluminium panels punched with P248 classic round perforation, precision-manufactured to match the centre’s distinctive sawtooth roofline.
Finished in Dulux Duratec Zeus in Lunar Eclipse, the panels help control sun and glare, regulate temperature, and give the centre a strong, striking visual identity, creating a hub that feels welcoming, modern, and ready for its place at the heart of a vibrant local community.
Willowdale Sports Precinct:
Colourful Identity

How do you give a sports precinct a look that people instantly connect with? For Willowdale, the answer was colour and pattern – but not any random shade.
Scarlet-toned perforated metal in Dulux Duratec Desert Satin was chosen to reflect Indigenous landscape heritage and the elements of earth, fire and clay. For the exterior facade, our pattern P239 – a classic round-hole design – complements the colour and softens lighting. While inside, panels punched in our exclusive Electra design – a modern hexagon profile – add depth and texture, expertly colour-matched by our team to work with the project’s earthy palette.
For WC facilities, we used PixelPerf – our custom image-to-perforation technology – to create a striking metal silhouette, giving the entire build a modern, inclusive feel. Willowdale Sports Precinct is a standout in our perforated metal projects 2025, showing how considered design can help bring people together.
Petersham Station:
Historical Upgrade

Upgrading a heritage-listed building is always a challenge, as anything new must look like it has always belonged.
For Petersham Station, built in 1857, the solution was our double-weave brass mesh WOB-9516D. It’s strong enough for constant commuter traffic, corrosion-resistant, and visually in keeping with the station’s original styling.
And because it’s brass, the mesh will only get better over time, naturally patinating to complement the site’s aged, historical aesthetics. Our brass mesh range continues to be the elegant, versatile go-to for projects that need vintage appeal, whether for sports club interiors or exterior protection.
Punchbowl Boys High School:
Boundary Of Belonging

At Punchbowl Boys High, fencing needed to do more than separate space – it had to support safe movement, maintain sightlines, and reflect the school’s identity. We manufactured 3mm aluminium panels perforated with the school emblem and motto ‘Where Good Men Grow’.
But image perforation wasn’t the only challenge for this NSW Government school project. With the courtyard on a slope, every panel had to be custom-made to match changing ground levels. We ensured the emblem and motto perfectly aligned along the length of the fence, creating a boundary that feels connected, purposeful, and proudly part of the school.
Cabramatta Car Park:
Dated Facility Now Dazzling

If any project shows the difference perforated metal can make, it’s this urban car park in Cabramatta.
The ageing Dutton Lane concrete car park needed a makeover and improved pedestrian lighting, without major, costly structural work. We manufactured custom 3mm aluminium soffit panels in pattern 2320, our exclusive mixed round-hole profile, to scatter and soften the lighting. Orange inserts bring it to life at night, with the warm glow and perforation patterns visually linking the car park with the colour and feel of the bustling market precinct outside.
It’s a simple project with big results: brighter access, a safer, more inviting entrance, and an old urban structure that now uplifts the area.
Kingsgrove Avenue Reserve:
Small Building, Big Impact

Community sports facilities are always working hard to manage heat, noise, crowds, and airflow in a compact space. The new amenities block at Kingsgrove Avenue Reserve solves it all with perforated ceiling panels that keep players, spectators and officials cool and comfortable.
Using P234 round-hole perforations in 3mm aluminium, finished in Dulux Nickel Pearl Matt, our panels delivered three big goals for the new building that boasts a canteen, meeting rooms, bubbler station, and accessible toilets: better natural ventilation to reduce heat, softer diffused light to minimise glare, and improved acoustics to reduce match-day noise.
Looking Ahead:
What Perforated Metal Projects 2025 Tell Us About 2026 Trends
Across retail, community spaces, transport and infrastructure, these projects each use perforated metal differently – but all highlight its versatility and what it can achieve, even in smaller installations.
For 2026, we’re seeing a continued theme toward reusing and refreshing existing buildings and how perforated metal can help – whether it’s through improving ventilation, reducing heat, modernising facades or making older structures feel new and locally relevant.

Our recent Woolworths facade project in North Parramatta is a great example, where our perforated panels gave a repurposed building a new on-brand identity, as part of Woolworths’ commitment to sustainability. It’s a direction we expect to see a lot more of in the coming months – keep an eye on our Projects page to see what’s new.
