Perforated Metal for schools: Education Projects
Can you guess what metal is top of the class for education projects? Architects and designers typically use perforated metal for schools as facades to shield pupils from sun glare, or as strong and durable balustrade to keep students safe on stairs and balconies.
It’s one of the most common metal materials you’ll find in public and private schools. Here’s how Arrow Metal can help if you’re looking for perforated metal for schools and education projects:
Perforated metal for schools: Budget control
One of the biggest considerations when specifying perforated metal for schools, colleges and universities is the budget.
Any products specified need to deliver best value, superior quality and long-lasting durability with no compromise on performance.
At Arrow Metal we specialise in perforated metal solutions that fulfil the strict criteria of all types of tenders, including public and private education projects.
We can especially help when budget is tight, recommending products that deliver the right end result but at an economical, achievable cost.
Timescales & delivery
A reliable and trustworthy ordering process is essential to ensure a school project keeps on track. Time is of the essence because of the potential disruption even the smallest delay can cause to a busy learning environment.

If timescales are tight, we’ll do everything we can to fulfil your order as quickly as possible. We have a large range of perforated metal in-stock in the most popular and common profiles, for immediate shipment to anywhere in Australia.
Perforated metal for schools: St Ursula’s College
Take a look at the perforated metal we supplied to ABC Fabrications and Balustrades for St Ursula’s College in Sydney. We perforated 3mm aluminium panels in a round classic design for use as balustrade throughout the college’s new campus, an on-going project of different stages.
Safe, sturdy and stylish, the new balustrade is perfectly suited to the challenging demands of a large, dynamic and modern busy school.
Perforated metal for universities: University of Newcastle
Perforated metal panels also made the grade for the University of Newcastle’s landmark $95m NeW Space education precinct.
Produced for project partners JML Engineered Facades, we perforated over 400 individual metal panels to form the metal learning booths on the exterior of the building.
Wind resistance was a key factor in the specification, so our expert Arrow Metal team recommended pattern 376 – a standard perforation profile that would meet the required wind tunnel testing criteria. The result is minimal noise and vibration for student comfort, despite the windy conditions the area is known for.
