Perforated metal inspiration: 2019 highlights
We’re celebrating another great year at Arrow Metal with our quality perforated metal and wire mesh specified for all kinds of prestigious projects. From the overhaul of Sydney’s CBD to health sector projects, exhibitions and residential renovations, if you need some perforated metal inspiration for 2020 take a look at our top collaborations of 2019:
George Street renovations, Sydney CBD: Commercial perforated metal
George Street is one of Sydney’s most famous areas. In the heart of the CBD, it’s the city’s original High Street and also one of the busiest. Not only does it have the most high-rise buildings than any other street in Australia, it’s also home to the biggest number of Australian 100 largest listed companies.
So we were very privileged to be involved in the creation of George Place – a new commercial complex for the city. Comprising of 345 and 363 George Street and the heritage-listed 24 York Street, our perforated metal panels were specified around the lifts and elevators in the complex’s central, supersized lobby.
‘High-end’ was what the building owners were looking for, for every fixture and fitting. And that’s what we delivered, working with the project fit out team to create a detailed mix of perforated and solid metal panels, with back-lit sections for customised corporate ambiance.
For commercial building perforated metal inspiration, these panels are a top performer.
Gosford Hospital: Healthcare perforated metal
If you’re looking for perforated metal inspiration for a healthcare environment, the metal walkway panels we made for Gosford Hospital are the perfect treatment.
The walkway is used by staff accessing the hospital’s pathology lab and kitchens. We precisely perforated and folded the panels for maximum visibility, safety and privacy.
We custom-made and delivered over 100 panels for this project, in a turnaround time of just two months, finished with a guaranteed powder coating for durability for years to come.
Paddington home: Residential perforated metal
Is there such a thing as the perfect property fence? There is now! We helped a Paddington homeowner to create her ‘dream’ boundary, after she was inspired by a new-build show home which had a custom-made perforated metal fence.
We worked closely with the homeowner and her builder to create and install the fence, taking into account not only her design wishes but the challenging landscape of the property to ensure a precise fit for each panel. The end result is a contemporary, luxury fence that has real kerb appeal.
Tapestry exhibition: Artistic perforated metal
Who said tapestry canvas had to be made of material? If you want to be really original and creative, a perforated metal sheet makes an ideal giant and durable way to thread. And that’s exactly how needlework artist Natalie Fisher created the full-size woven Moroccan doorway featured in her latest exhibition, ‘A Stitch in Tile’.
We supplied Natalie with the perfect panels to weave her way to artistic success, perforated in specific hole sizes to match the thick coloured wool. We’ll be working with Natalie again in 2020 for her upcoming display in the UAE. Watch this space!
Residential kitchen: Brass mesh cabinets
Brass mesh is a great way to cook up a style storm in the kitchen. It’s elegant, timeless, classic and doesn’t have a sell-by date when it comes to interior trends.
So it’s no wonder that we’re supplying our quality brass mesh to homeowners on the other side of the country! We helped a Perth property owner to make his culinary space shine, with our brass mesh used for the kitchen’s cabinets and to transform an unsightly air-con vent. We love the tasteful result!
