About this project

The Arrow Metal team has made a ‘dream fence’ a reality for a homeowner in Paddington, creating bespoke perforated metal fence panels that have transformed the property.

The hunt for the perfect perforated metal fence began after the property owner saw a new-build home, which was clad in perforated panels. Wishing to create a similar look, the homeowner contacted the architect who advised that the panels used were actually custom-made – which brought the homeowner to the experts at Arrow Metal.

Uneven site no barrier to perforated metal fence panel perfection

We explained the process and what would be involved in replicating the style of the perforated metal fence they’d seen, and achieving the look they envisaged.

But plans were put on hold for a number of months until the homeowner could find a contractor who had the ability and expertise to fit the fence – and importantly tackle the daunting challenge of the property’s uneven landscape.

Eventually their trusted builder Darren Mercer of Tectum Bathrooms came to the rescue, meticulously measuring the site in liaison with the Arrow Metal team to ensure panel size accuracy for the perfect fit, taking into account the undulating ground.

Custom perforated metal fence panels achieve the look

Each of the fence panels was custom-created by Arrow Metal with the exact hole sizes, pattern and pitch specified by the homeowner, to achieve exactly the right look.

The panels were powder-coated in Dulux Electro Black Ace for a flat, contemporary and super-modern finish, and delivered direct to site by our team for installation by the builder.

Finished fence is dream come true

The finished panels have not only given the homeowner the ‘dream fence’ she was looking for, but also much-valued privacy and an on-trend renovation makeover for the property.
