Folded gold facade: Gadigal Avenue, Zetland
Enveloped in a finely-woven facade of gold perforated metal, these apartments at Gadigal Avenue, Zetland, are simply stunning. The unique facade was designed by architects Collins and Tuner manufactured by the Arrow Metal team for architects Collins and Turner. It is made from a series of gold aluminium panels, which had to be precisely perforated and folded in a specific way according to location and orientation of each apartment. Featuring fixed and sliding elements, the lattice-like facade unifies the building but gives each residence an individual air of grandeur.
